Hutch and Kate Johnson are North Carolina natives, with ties to Raleigh-Durham and Chapel Hill. As an award-winning residential designer—who has worked with the likes of Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski and former UNC great Eric Montross—Hutch has designed homes in a number of communities in the High Country/Blowing Rock area. However, he chose to build his own home at Blue Ridge Mountain Club, where he and his wife Kate now spend most of their time. "This is our true home now," says Hutch.
